Recorded February '96 to May '97. This is my first home produced CD. Recorded on a Fostex XR-5 Multitracker, and cleaned-up with Sound Forge. The equipment used during the recording of the album comprised: Roland Juno 6 synth, Casio CT-470 Tonebank, Boss RPS-10 digital delay, Boss RRV-10 digital reverb, Yamaha DD-9 drum machine, Boss BF-2 flanger, old and tired short-wave radio, cheap microphone and saliva, and a bunch of Monks and other narrated explorers. Oh, and my imagination of course. It is dedicated to Graeme Gilbert, a good friend who died before its completion.
The songs are my own compositions, with the exception of Synchronicity. This is an improvised track with Simon Wilkins playing guitar. The title track also features Simon's guitar work, with an improvised guitar solo to accompany the pre-recorded Synthesizer parts. The voices which feature in two of the tracks have been taken from radio broadcasts and video.
